“I called HL Bowman in 2025 becuase my furnace kept turning off. My " comfort specialist" told me my furnace was old and it would keep turning off. The very same day he sent a finance person to my dad's trailer and I signed a 7,700$ loan agreement and they installed the furnace on 01/22/2025. 22 months ago.
It broke down no less than 4 times the last time they tried to charge me even tho i had a warranty. Why did I keep calling them? Becuase like my old one this brand new one had a habit of turning off during the coldest nights of the winter and then me and my fur babies would freeze.
One night i literally waited all day during a cold snap for them to come but they never did. Now I have to give them grace where it's due. I missed their call because I couldn't find my phone. And once I did find it I immediately called back this all happened within 10 minutes. I talked to several people and they all said they'd come within the hour. I gave up at 11pm and went to my aunts house with my fur babies for warmth.
Some unfortunate circumstances happened to me and I needed the furnace removed. I called HL bowman and unfortunately I thought their ai agent tucker was a real person. He told me they didn't buy back furnaces. So I made another appointment with them to see how much it would cost to have my furnace removed from my home.
In the meantime I found a buyer who could remove it himself with a friend.
They gave me 500$.
Now as I was removing it I was rereading their manual and doing some mental math.
I had 24 months for them to buy it back. I had this furnace 22 months.
When I called to cancel my appointment to have the estimate for them to remove it they said I should have never relied on AI for that kind of info.
I said I didn't know it was AI, she said you just told me you spoke to tucker, I told her I didn't know he was ai until the second or third time I called becuase they even put office noise in the background to purposely confuse us. I will admit I got pretty emotional and started to cry because at the end of all of this all I have to show for it is 7,700$ worth of debt and now 500$ dollars.”
