Met-Ed, a FirstEnergy company, offers rebates for purchasing Energy Star^® certified equipment through May 31, 2026. Here is a sampling of the rebates:

• Up to $500 for an air source heat pump
• Up to $250 for a central air conditioner
• $650 for a geothermal heat pump
• $50 for a smart thermostat

The company even rewards consumers for taking care of their HVAC system. It offers a $50 rebate for HVAC tune-ups. Customers are eligible for one tune-up rebate per unit every three years.
