“Seth Morris did a fantastic job sleuthing out the issue that kept shutting down my thermostat. He discovered quickly that the old drainage pipe with a trap, that was in my house originally was completely blocked and was not allowing the moisture condensation from the AC unit to drain properly. He needed to cut the the old pipe open to allow him to clean the trap and then repaired the pipe with new plumbing with a screw on section that could be easily removed for future cleaning. He then showed me how to clean the trap in the new upper part of the AC and suggested I do it once a month when I changed the filter to make sure that this did not occur again. He showed me the little mechanism on the AC unit in my basement that was tripping the thermostat. Very interesting. He also helped me manage a few extra things I could do on my ecobee smart thermostat to help cool my upstairs earlier in the evening with a separate fan setting. He was extremely professional, polite, and very, very helpful. I really appreciate his long drive from Harrisburg to fix this problem. It had nothing to do with the Lennox air-conditioning system, but instead an old drainage pipe in my basement that had been installed when the house was built I don’t think it had ever been cleaned out.
