I just want to start by saying that Shane was exceptional! He was patient, professional, and arrived right on time. He carefully assessed the situation in my older home, fully understood the scope of work, and explained what might be required with the cast iron piping.After a thorough inspection, he realized the major repair I was quoted for — over $1,700 — wasn’t actually needed. He fixed the issue without replacing the cast iron pipe and saved me $1,000. As a veteran and single mom, this truly touched my heart. After numerous technicians tried to figure out why for 4,5 months since the new furnace ( boiler) was installed we still had brown hot water running in the house ,Jesse Fernandez was the only one who solved the problem by being very knowledgeable, attentive and thorough. Our big thanks to Jesse!

Thomas was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer our questions about how to ensure we’re keeping up on maintenance. Mike arrived at the time he promised. He was friendly and engaged me in conversation. He quickly diagnosed the problem with my thermostat. I'm thankful that it was a quick fix! Mike checked to make sure that my furnace was responding and working as it should before he left. He listened to my concerns about an unrelated electrical problem. He took pictures and said he'd reach out to one of the electricians for me. He gave me the information and price for a service contract and said he'd be emailing the full information after I agreed to purchase it.I felt very comfortable during the visit. Mike's explanations were very clear and I felt that he was knowledgeable about heating systems.

My sewage pipe kept getting clogged and it was recommended that the pipe be replaced. I got multiple quotes from different companies but the guys at Drain Magic (HL Bowman) were not only the best price but the most helpful and knowledgeable. The entire process was over in a blink and they were able to solve all my problems without jackhammering up my home foundation or destroying my front lawn. I am extremely thankful for their help and patience as they worked with me to ensure my problems were addressed and everything was explained. Hunter Briner, Raymond Bush, Aaron Beidel, and Chris Schuster were the technicians that supported me through this process and they were personable and great! 5 out of 5 stars. Would highly recommend!

Jason Johnson did a great job explaining the problem I am having with my heating systems. He explicitly showed me pictures and told me what needed to happen to fix the problem. Jason showed understanding, confidence and made me completely at ease with how we will precede. Tim McGuire was absolutely fantastic from the first minute of the consultation to the installation of a new tankless water heater. He was extremely professional and very well-versed in explaining things throughly and in an easy to understand way for a layperson. Never felt pressured to pick the most expensive option and was very kind and caring. H.L Bowman has wonderful service and a wonderful team. Highly recommend H.L. Bowman! Jason and Cory showed up right on time and replaced both our old A/C unit and furnace in just half a day. They worked efficiently, took great care to respect our home and property, and kept us in the loop throughout the entire installation. They were extremely knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions without hesitation. While they might not be the cheapest contractor in town, you truly get what you pay for—top-notch quality, complete professionalism, and peace of mind. Fantastic service from start to finish

Had some plumbing work done, and was very satisfied. There was some miscommunication between the estimate report and the gentleman who did the work but that was quickly corrected and repairs were completed. Reshaun Heck was very informative and answered any question I had. Even with the miscommunication about part of the job he adapted quickly and was still able to get the job done in a timely manner. Will use this company again for future jobs.

I’ve been incredibly impressed with HL Bowman. Long story short, our original well pump installation wasn’t quite spec’d correctly, but I’ve always believed you really find out what a company is made of when something doesn’t go as planned.When the original pump eventually failed, HL Bowman stood behind their work and made it right. There was no runaround, no excuses, and no hassle. They looked at the situation, figured out exactly what needed to be done to correct it properly, and made it a priority to get the work completed as soon as possible. Given that we were dealing with a failed well pump, that meant a lot to us.A huge thank you to Aaron, Mike, and Shane. They handled the hard work of excavating the old system and installing the new one, and they worked incredibly hard throughout the process. They took what was a pretty stressful situation for us and completely turned it around.What I appreciated just as much was how they wrapped everything up at the end. They took the time to walk me through, step by step, what they had done, why the original issue happened, what they changed to resolve it, and why the new setup was the right way to address it. That gave me a real sense of confidence that the problem had been corrected properly and wasn’t just patched together to get us back up and running.I also want to recognize George, who has been to our house several times over the years helping us troubleshoot different issues. He has always been knowledgeable, helpful, and someone we know we can count on.It’s rare to find a company that shows this level of honesty, accountability, and pride in their work. This was my first time with hiring HL Bowman. They were in my mind as I like the catchy radio advertisements so I gave them a call. They were quick in dealing with my 28 year of failing shower fixture. The tech Adin S. was friendly / competent and did a very good job and cleaned up the work area. No issues at all. I highly recommend. Also, one of my cats enjoyed the excitement of someone else in the second floor of the house as this is his territory.

5 Star rating. Originally called for a service call on a Sunday knowing we might need to install a new a/c and heating system. Technician confirmed that the equipment was 19 years old and needed replaced. Estimator/Comfort Advisor came out on a Sunday within 2 hours to provide us with a quote. We accepted on Sunday. Installation of new units occurred on Tuesday. They would have installed on Monday however we were not avaliable. The installation team replaced everything in just under 5 hours. HL Bowman is very efficient. Prices are definitely fair and their customer service was "Second to None". We will use the team at HL Bowman again. I highly recommend them for their service. Thank you.

They walked me through the operations of the new systems and answered questions that I had. Brett and Dylan were a good team. Brett installed UV mold killing system and recommended new humidifier and new filter assembly. After servicing HVAC system did thorough humidity testing as I complained about mold and stuffy smells. He recommended a whole house dehumidifier system and scouted possible locations. Worked with his manager on the phone to come up with the Aprilaire Home Comfort Package and set up an installation for the next day as I signed off on the expense.Dylan showed up the next day and installed all the stuff and explained everything to me in great detail and purpose of everything.Even though it was an "ouch" of an expense they both understood my wife and I want to continue in our home for the rest of our years and want to be as safe and healthy as possible.

This is the second time I used HL Bowman Inc and I am so grateful I found this company. They make you feel like they are taking care of a member of their family back in November. I needed a completely new heat pump and. I was a new customer to them and they came out In less than 24 hours looked at my old system quoted me a price for a repair left and when the service technician realize he quoted the wrong price, he came back to my house. Stayed for another 30 minutes explained that he gave me the wrong price and corrected it and told me what actually was needed. He did not charge for a second service call even though we stayed 30 minutes!I ended up getting a brand new system installed two days later, which happened to be the day before Thanksgiving. Just last week HL Bowman Inc called me up and said that I was due to have a maintenance check just to make sure everything was good before winter and they were able to come out that day! When Paulie came he was Professional, knowledgeable, I made sure I understood everything he was doing. It was like he was taking care of a family member. I will definitely keep using this company. With both the times I use them they prove to me they’re not about making top dollar. They’re about being honest to their customers and doing what is needed to give them the most reliable equipment possible and good service. My AC unit stopped working before a heat wave and most HVAC companies were charging $200+ just to stop by and assess the issue. Most companies didn’t even have availability for at least a month out but HL Bowman had availability for the following morning. I was told the visit was free and I’d just have to pay for parts and labor which was great.I had a 8am-10am window scheduled and Goran was on time and called me about 30mins before arrival. He was efficient, spoke honestly about the repair needed, didn’t try to upsell me, and was very respectful of my home. I also appreciated Goran’s patience when answering all of my questions and the helpful advice he gave about maintaining and replacing my air conditioning unit when the time comes.I would highly recommend Goran without any hesitation - he deserves a raise.

They, the entire crew, were professional helpful and courteous. Tim and Simon both were very professional. Tim was honest and recommended for a water heater specialist and that's where Simon came in. Simon came in made repairs, basically gave the heater furnace and water heater a tune up and explained everything that was done thoroughly. We are now happy customers with hot water again. Tom Scott was very professional. Have a second floor shower drain leaking to the first floor. Tom took great care to inspect and consult before beginning repairs. Very respectful of home and patient with our dog who wouldn’t leave him alone. Have to wait to make sure the leak has stopped but have every confidence Tom did what he could after troubleshooting.

From beginning to end the service was fantastic. From Justin coming out and diagnosing the problem the same day I called to Chad explaining my replacement options the following day. Cole and Scott did the installation, they were efficient and pleasant even with the added stress of having to deal with UGI digging up my yard and moving my gas meter outside at the same time they were installing my system. Every step was explained including setting up my new thermostat. Start to finish my furnace and air condenser unit was installed within 2 days, it’s great to have air conditioning again!

We had 2x toilets replaced. Both are perfect and a great upgrade to the house. We also had our Heat pump and outdoor unit replaced. The team was timely and professional. We actually are able to run the heat at a lower temperature now, because the system is so much more efficient. This will contribute to lower energy bills and a warmer more comfortable home. During a recent heat wave my a/c went out and I was desperate for someone to come and repair it because of health issues. It seemed that every company was booked but I was given H.L. Bowman info from Angi and they were able to fit me in. Their service person, Ricky Sanchez, was excellent! He quickly discovered the problem, described my options and immediately fixed the a/c. He also instructed me on how to properly set my thermostat and monitor my unit. Exceptional service and an outstanding warranty package. Our sales representative, Josh Porlier, came out within hours, and his crew was here early the next morning to install our new A/C and furnace. After the nightmare of dealing with customer service the past year with Bowman and ready to call it quits we used them for a ac/furnace replacement. They had financing which was a huge plus. Thankfully the actual workers from the inspection guy, estimate guy and all of the installers have changed my mind and feelings about this company. The workers and people i dealt with face to face were extremely professional and answered all questions. The installers were very respectful of our home and were a pleasure to have in our home working. They said job would be about 7-8 hours and they were out before that and cleaned up and explained how everything worked. This company should praise their installers and workers that go into peoples homes because they are the only reason we chose to stay with Bowman after our experience dealing with the customer service end of things on a previous issue we had in our home. I contacted HL Bowman as a referral from Home Depot for air conditioning in a home I am moving into. I received a date for a consultation within a week. Matthew Parlotto arrived on time and discussed his thoughts of going with a Ductless Hyper-Heat system. JULY 2026: This time we had a sever clog in our kitchen sink. The team responded the same day I called, sending Abel. Very friendly, professional - explained everything he was going to try at each step, potential costs and concerns. Even though this was in the evening, he spent several hours with us trying various larger and more powerful tools until the clogs released. He inspected the drain pipe all the way to our septic tank. The biggest complaint I hear from family and friends about repairmen coming to their houses is 1. Never on time, 2. Sometimes never show at all, and 3. Don't know their stuff or are unfriendly. HLBowman was called out to do a routine AC check up on May 18. The service tech let me know that there was mold in my ducts by cutting into my system and sent me pictures. He never closed the hole. This caused my system to run harder than necessary. A different part of the AC system failed. The best service person they have was sent out to fix the system. He repaired the broken part and then when the air flow wasn’t right we discovered the hole.Ask for Adam if you are planning on using HLBowman.Updated review as of June 12 from one star to four. The company leadership reached out and redressed the issue. I would use Adam and HLBOWMAN for all my geothermal HVAC needs.****Updated July 11 after a repair of the repair the system that didn’t leak won’t stop leaking. Mildew and mold smells are filling my basement from these leaks.******updated July 20 although it has been a ride HL Bowman stuck with me and it appears no leaks and they made it right 😇 redoing the work in copper piping instead of PVC. As someone who works in the automotive sales industry, I have learned to value the team that services a product as much as the product itself. Servicing can truly make or break a person's experience with a company, and HL Bowman has shown that they understand this well.I had an air conditioning system installed in my home a few weeks ago, which was done quickly and with precision. However, on the first night with the new system, I received an error code on my units. I contacted the service department the next morning and they sent out a technician right away to diagnose the issue. My technician, Jeff Negron, was determined to find the root cause of the issue and eventually even went so far as to reach out to the manufacturer on my behalf to recommend having my whole compressor warrantied. I am now sitting under the cool air of my new units, extremely satisfied.A company shows its quality not when everything goes right, but when something goes wrong. In this experience, HL Bowman has certainly shown me theirs. Malfunctioning products are inevitable, but the company went above and beyond to make it right, and that is what matters to me the most. I would not hesitate to recommend HL Bowman to anyone (especially if you are a Home Depot credit card holder).

As an Architect, I care deeply about detail and craftsmanship and the team at HL Bowman is exceptional throughout the process. George, the Sales lead is great to work with and gave us so much confidence from the start. Jonathan, the team lead for install, was extremely thorough, and deeply knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to improve a series of subpar conditions that were here before their arrival, along with an outstanding install and we are very pleased with the finished product. This company follows through and make sure the customer is well taken care of and it’s beautiful to be able to get a real person to speak to after a few phone prompts.They’ve really proven themselves and go above and beyond and the company is approachable and fair if you have any issues.Yesterday’s repair was done by Justin Dooley and he was very patient with me as I asked many questions and he was trying to get his job done in a very hot attic.He stayed and made sure everything was in tiptop shape and was very respectful of our property.They deserve a much higher rating now than the one I originally gave based on my own misunderstanding.Communication is everything and they are open to it in a very respectful manner and always reach out to make sure the customer satisfied.A real breath of fresh air!

I originally called these guys over a weekend because our entire AC system died and it was in the mid 90s outside. They came out that day, diagnosed our problem immediately, emailed us pictures of the problems, and did not even charge for that trip. We purchased a new system from them and they installed it within 2 days. It works great.THEN, our water heater failed (it was old and struggling for years). Once again I called them and they came out right away and got a new system up and running.Their prices are not the lowest in town, but they're definitely worth it. With them, we know that things will get fixed properly and quickly the first time around. Every worker was professional, trustworthy, and knew what they were doing. The company even texts you beforehand with a photo and name of anyone coming out and has them call when they're on their way. We are now repeat satisfied customers and plan to continue to use HL Bowman. I rarely leave reviews lately unless a company is either really bad or really good - and this company is really, really good.

Our central air failed July 3rd. I texted for emergency assistance at 9:30 PM, received a return call 10PM. Service technician arrived Sunday July 5th to assess the issue. An appointment was made for Monday July 6th. On Wednesday July 8th, our A/C and Furnace were replaced.We were told technicians would arrive at 7:30 and it would require 8hrs. As promised, 3 techs arrived at 7:30, 1 focused on exterior unit, 2 on interior furnace. Job completed by 3PM.Excellent service, knowledgeable technicians, clean installation.Highly recommend.

HL Bowman came out to look at my very old central AC unit. The tech mentioned that the refrigerant was banned and I should have a new system installed. I asked that a sales person come to my home to give me proposals. Airton Andrade came out and assessed my needs and showed me my options. I chose to have a 24,000 BTU Mini Split installed instead of the central air being replaced. The Mini Split would provide an additional heat source in the winter and provide AC in the warm months.Marcelo Barros was part of the team of men that came out to install the Mini. Marcelo was timely, professional, and did a great job!! Marcelo was one of the unit installers. He and Kyle did a great job installing the unit, it looks great inside and outside and cleaned up everything when they were finished. It's only been 24 hours and I love it so much!!Thank you Marcelo and the rest of the team.

Mike took the time to carefully investigate the problem, identify the true source of the leak, and resolve it efficiently. By finding the core issue, he saved me a significant amount of money and a great deal of worry.I was also very impressed with the company's dispatchers. We have a large multi-level 1896 house that previous owners installed central air into on first and second floors. But it never worked great. The air conditioner broke in the middle of the most recent heat wave and HL Bowman came to my rescue with fast response times, great service, knowledgeable employees and a great outcome. Goran in sales earned my trust with his friendly and respectful demeanor and patient and helpful explanations of what was wrong with my system. It was a total fail of the system—years past its stated life, deteriorated by our failure to replace the air filters. He answered all my questions, sometimes twice (and even put me on the phone with the sales manager Mike, who was great, to help answer a question about our other air conditioner in a different part of the house). Goran also pointed out several problems with the way the old system was installed that would be repaired with the new install. And they could do it the next day—July 3rd and they had 0% financing for 18 months. I was sold. I had already carefully read the online reviews ahead of time and was confident I was in good hands and I was right. Even when a difficult install at another location that had not been completed yet meant the install team who had volunteered to work on the July 3rd holiday for mine wouldn’t be available and we’d have to wait until Monday—-I got call after call from the install manager until they reached me to make sure I knew, with profuse apologies. Our install team arrived on time with three HLBowman trucks, introduced themselves and shook my hand (which repairmen don’t always do with a woman customer and I appreciate it). Cody. Alec and Alex got to work right away, explaining they would be there until about 3. When I had a question about the brand of equipment they were installing I called Goran who had given me his cell phone number the week before and got a call back right away (even though he was sick) By the end of the day we had a working air conditioner, cooling the multi-level house much better than the old system. They finished around 4:30 and Alec did a great job walking me through the new system, answering all my questions, explaining new safety features. And he also walked with me through the whole house testing all the vents to make sure each one worked. One did not and he said he’d have the company call me to send out another team to investigate and address that issue. At this point I truly trust the great work of the whole HL Bowman team and am confident that I will hear from them today to address the one vent problem and so I am writing the review now. I am glad to have selected this company and would recommend it to anyone.

I would highly recommend H.L. Bowman for any Heating/AC repairs. Our system stopped working on a Sunday and Bowman had a tech (Austin) come by the house to diagnose the problem. Upon his finding we decided to replace the 15 year old system with a new system. (The old system used discontinued refrigerant) That same day Matt stopped by the house to discuss options about replacement and financing, and by the next morning Glen Keiper and his son were on the schedule to come and replace the system. Glen and Shayne were very professional and did a phenomenal job installing the new system and thermostat. They went above and beyond the call of duty, going as far as noticing a very small propane leak coming from my tank and calling me at work to let me know. We couldn't be happier with the service we received from HL Bowman and will certainly give them every opportunity to do any work in the future.Scott.

When I purchased my home in 2019, it was only about ten years old, so HVAC wasn’t top of mind. We had two issues that Eric (Lasalle) was able to fix and complete. In attempting a DYI bathroom faucet replacement, we discovered that the old faucet had been bolted down and when attempting to turn off the water the shut off values were old and leaking. Eric was prompt in arriving during the scheduled time and was able to remove and replace the faucet. Likewise he was able to replace the old shutoff values with new ones. Eric was very courteous and performed great work in a timely fashion. My wife and I are very happy with his work and would look to HL Bowman for future plumbing needs.

Had a cracked toilet in our basement. Called and got an appointment two days later for a fix. Mike was knowledgeable and provided great guidance for picking a new one that would meet our needs and at a decent price point. The specialist, Jeff Negron showed up early and I didn't have to wait home all day. Jeff was very personable and knowledgeable. When he came a couple of weeks ago to do the annual maintenance he noticed the blower assembly was dirty and needed cleaning. He gave me answers to my questions very thoroughly. Showed me how to keep the the condensate trap clean and explained the reason it's on the furnace. He wanted to make sure I know how the system works. Reminded me to keep checking the filters. Over-all the visit was well worth it.

A great experience all around. We needed our garbage disposal replaced, so we reached out on a Saturday using their website. Got a text from Samantha soon after to confirm our appointment for a couple days later (Monday). On Monday, Sean shows up, looks over the situation, gets his tools, and is done shortly after. The whole thing took less than 1 hour! And everything looks and works great! They even hauled away the old garbage disposal for free! We will definitely be using them again if we have any other plumbing needs!

I contacted Home Depot for an evaluation, and their HVAC Advisor, Amauris, provided an outstanding consultation. He thoroughly inspected both the indoor and outdoor units, transparently explaining potential issues. When a technical question fell outside his immediate scope, he prioritize accuracy over guesswork and called Brad, the HVAC Manager at HL Bowman (Home Depot's installation partner). Brad clearly explained our ductwork limitations in simple, straightforward terms without trying to upsell unnecessary work. Amauris walked us through the entire contract with complete transparency, even placing his internal calls on speakerphone. To address our specific contract questions, he looped in Nord, the Retail Compliance Manager at HL Bowman, who professionally explained our payment options, warranties, and product details. Knowing our house was at 90° with no AC, Amauris went above and beyond—staying from 4:45 PM to 7:30 PM to finalize our paperwork and successfully expediting our installation for the very next day. The installation specialists, Greg and Chase, were phenomenal. Over a two-day, 17-hour installation process, they worked tirelessly and stayed late to hit their milestones. They were incredibly respectful, highly knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions professionally. After completing the install, they rigorously tested the system, recorded the metrics, and re-verified the contract details with us.The transparency, respect, and expertise demonstrated by Amauris, Brad, Nord, Greg, and Chase were unmatched. Contacted HL Bowman for central air service when the air was no longer blowing cold. We were in a pinch as we had a family party approaching with the recent heat wave. Representative answered right away and set up an appointment. We were later offered a next day visit which we accepted.Tim W. from HL Bowman arrived the next day. Very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Tim was able to diagnose the issue with the unit and replaced the part all within 45 minutes. By the time he came back in the house, the air was already blowing ice cold.Pricing was up front and fair, service was quick and easy, and the technician walked me through what was wrong and how the repair would work. Install seemed to go well. However i was told it would be a one day install. It took 2. It should have taken 3. The techs who finished on day 2 were good, however, I had to leave. They were not done and wouldnt be coming back. I couldnt be there for programming and they did not lable the breakers where thy installed the units.Again, they were good they just needed more time identifing where the old units were installed in the panel. Mike Farley came to fix a broken levered drain stopper in my bathroom sink. I also asked him to check out the toilet, because it had seemed to flush on its own just yesterday. He said that the toilet flap was worn out and that the mechanism in the tank needed to be replaced. He also replaced the toilet flush handle at my request.Mike set right to work when he arrived, assessing what the problems were. HL Bowman provided very professional and thoughtful service throughout a difficult diagnostic and replacement HVAC install. When things did not go as planned, they responded appropriately and worked with me to plot new paths forward.I secured multiple quotes from different calibers of HVAC companies. While HLB wasn't cheap, they quoted at ~10% less than a commensurate (in terms of reputation, size, etc...) competitor. Although their price was meaningfully higher than a much less reputable and established bidder, I opted for an established company with a demonstrated track record since my family depends on reliable HVAC serviceTheir team operated efficiently, professionally, communicated well and seemed generally smart and reasonable. Some the HVAC techs and electricians really impressed me with their depth knowledge and their analytical skills, as well as their ability to communicate their findings and thinking clearly and concisely. While the whole team was great, I want to shout out to Kyle, George and James - I really appreciated the effort, problem solving skills and super effective communication!No complaints - though they only just finished the install, so we will see how things go. Assuming that things go smoothly from here, I would definitely use them again - and would recommend them to others who value using an established, reputable company for something as critical and intimate as their home HVAC needs.

Also very honest - estimated $6-700 to snake the drain but found it didn't need to be snaked so charged me much less (they could easily have just done it and charged me). Several days ago, we had a sewer leak into the basement. We detected it quickly and called Bowman plumbing. They came right out and cleaned out the sewer clog and then took a camera into the system. The piping was disinigrating and was not going to last much longer. 2 days later they sent out 3 gentlemen to dig up the out sewer line and replaced the pipes. They were on time, polite and skilled. They had to trench close to the house. When they had completed the work, the dirt was filled in, the sidewalk was swept and the yard was no worse for the wear. **Frank from HL Bowman came through for me once again. After my new shower turned out to be taller than expected, he returned to redo the pipe work so everything would line up correctly. He adjusted the plumbing cleanly and efficiently, explained what needed to change, and made sure the new setup was solid and up to code.Just like before, his workmanship was excellent. He assessed the issue with a leaking pipe, explained exactly what was going on, and came out the very next day to take care of it. He cut out a small section of drywall to access the vertical stack on the first‑floor wall, removed the old 4” cast iron, and transitioned everything cleanly to 3” PVC. He ran the new sewer line below the joist and above the dropped drywall, installed a 3x2” PVC wye to pick up the vent, and tied the new 3” PVC back into the existing system.The workmanship was excellent, the layout was thoughtful, and he kept the area neat throughout the job. Frank took the time to explain each step and made sure everything was done the right way. I’m very impressed with the quality of his work and highly recommend him.

Ricky Sanchez was very professional and knowledgeable about my Bosch HVAC unit which was installed 3 years ago; Ricky diagnosed that the capacitator was powering at 6.159 (well below the 7.5 normal reading) and informed me that if level is below 7.1 it puts a strain on the blower motor. We had a same day service manager visit. The quote for the work was VERY reasonable and the tech was out the next morning and stayed to finish the job. They also ran into some issues with the planned work they quoted and it ended up taking longer than they thought but they did not alter the invoice. Can't say enough about how impressed we are! We will hyping them up in our area and will be using them for all our plumbing needs going forward!

Very professional and prompt service. Aaron was very knowledgeable regarding repairs and issues with wells, clearly explained the issues found and the options for repair with pricing for each. The repair was made timely and all debris/packaging removed by the company, he left the area cleaner than he found it. Aaron also has a great sense of humor and I enjoyed talking with him.I did have two other techs come to the house, 1 on a Sunday and he put my mind at ease that the leak was minor and would be fine until they could have a well tech come out. The 2nd tech come during regular business hours to fix the leak but recognized that there may be issues in addition to the leak that he was not able repair due to not having parts and rather make a repair knowing there are other issues he deferred to having a tech with greater knowledge of wells, Aaron, come out to evaluate and make the repair. I very much appreciate the level of professionalism shown by all the techs and would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone. I will be using them again should the need arise. Thanks Aaron for the great job and the laughs, much needed after worrying about the leak over a holiday weekend.

We had a very positive experience with everyone involved in our heat pump installation from the initial visit through completion. We were able to schedule an appointment that was convient for us. We knew what we wanted done and had researched the average cost. Nathan measured our house and determined what size unit we needed. It ended up that the unit we had was too small. After giving us an explanation of the systems, we chose what we wanted. He didn't pressure us or try to talk us into extras, although we went with the best system. What made it even better was our ability to qualify for a senior citizen discount and a special, that made a significant difference in the price. We already had our money set aside for the project and were ready for installation.They were able to schedule us for the next day. Christian and the team were here right on time. I expected professionalism, courtesy, and care of our property, and clean up, and we weren't disappointed. The work was completed to our satisfaction by the afternoon. There were 2 things that I really appreciated. One was the quietness of their work and conversation....no banging, radios, or yelling to each other. I had gotten in from out of state and to bed at 3am. They weren't aware, but I had gotten up and moved to another room to go try to sleep. I was able to fall asleep with them going in and out and working right above me. Also Christian and his team did a great job of going over everything with me, and he was the only person who gave me an answer as to why our bedrooms don't heat and cool as well as the rest of the house.They are all above a non heated/ non cooled garage. We're thinking about putting more insulation on the garage ceiling to see if it helps. Our electric bills have been climbing and we're looking forward to a new and more efficient system hopefully lowering them.Thank you. Great job.

Very responsive and efficient company. Had an unusual sewer backup problem with no obvious solution but this was the only company to offer ways to fix it. Joe contacted the city sewer company and insisted they dig up the street to find out what was going on, as they could not clear the blockage. It turned out to be the main sewer which was clogged. Zach recommended attaching a descaling unit to the water tank to clear the kitchen spigot and to prevent sediment clogging other spigots and shower heads in my home. Everyone I worked with was very thorough and professional. While no one ever wants to have to replace their heating system, I am glad I chose this company. HL Bowman replaced my heat pump system a few months ago and I called them out most recently to replace my hose bib that had burst (before even buying my house!) from frozen pipes over a winter some time ago that I just now got around to dealing with now that I am starting a garden. We had our boiler break unfortunately this year and left with no heat. Austin Shafor was sent for diagnostic work and informed us we needed a whole new system. This was a shock but he showed and explained comprehensively why this is and used terms that non-boiler experts can understand.The very same day, they sent Nate Kudla, a sales specialist to inform us of their options. He was very informative and personable. The price was a shock but he lessened the blow with his reassurances and garuntees.The install was performed the very next day in very quick time where a whole new system was completed by Glen Keiper & Shayne Keiper. The work looks clean and professional.Overall, within my first call and completed job, the work was completed within 48 hours to a great standard.In case anyone has any price enquires, it is a lot more than Google AI says so don't believe that. We have since spoke to other mechanical specialists that say the overall price was reasonable.

I called HL Bowman Friday night at 9pm in the middle of summer and was connected to a live person who scheduled a technician visit for Saturday morning. That alone was impressive! I received notice by text, and a call 5 minutes before the technician, Ryan arrived. He was friendly and professional. He found the problem right away and took a short time to fix it without added expenses. He also showed me some condensation and suggested a dehumidifier. I was so impressed that now I feel that I have a trusted company to take care of my oil furnace maintenance, my HVAC system, and my oil supply.

Called HL Bowman as an emergency at night. They came the next day even though I was not a customer. My Heater and AC could not be fixed. They scheduled a new furnace install right away. The install went well and the techs were very professional. Unfortunately, the system never turned off after the techs left. I called back right away and was told I would hear back shortly. I waited until almost an hour then called back. I was told a tech would be back. Several hours later the manager informed me that no techs were available. I spent the night without heat. Two different techs arrive the next day. The low GWP board that runs the pressure sensors failed. They didn't have a replacement so they bypassed it. The next appointment time was missed. I called and after 20 minutes was speaking with the manager. He said he would call back. The call back was prompt and a tech was sent right away. Everything is now working.When calling they use an AI assistant to screen their calls. I believe I would have had a better response had I spoken to a person. HL Bowman (Pete) reached back out and apologized for the miscommunitions. They added an additional 1 year warranty for our trouble.

My experience with H.L. Bowman has been Awsome. I have a had a few members of the team come out for up keep and to check out an old unit. Ran into some issues with that old unit which Austin Shafor throughly explained what was wrong with the unit as well as showed me so I had a better understand ment of what the issues were. He referred me to Brett Yeagley which came out that same day to discuss options for a new unit. That gentleman right there made this whole process happen quick, easy, as well as made this possible to be replaced overnight. He went over everything in the book, pricing, different units, what unit woukd be suitable as well as in my price range he did excellent work and made my problem become a solution. He had a team come out the very next day to get this unit installed properly which they installed my A/C, Furnace, new condenser, and thermostat in a timely fashion. That team consisted of Anel Hernandez as well as Alnaydo Rodriguez two great members of the H.L. Bowman team. They explained what they were doing how they were going to go about installing the units as well as throughly explained the units and their functions properly. These guys treat you like family are willing to answer any questions you may have. They work hard and are very good at what they do. This whole team made what I thought was a nightmare become into an eye opening blessing by getting the job done perfectly in a day before this winter storm we are about to get. I will not be cold in my home and my pipes will not be freezing this winter with what this team as made into reality today. I appreciate the H.L. Bowman team and the work they do. I highly recommend you give these guys a call with any of your HVAC needs or wants. Just want to give a shout out to them as well as thank them for their service and good work thank you guys!

**EDIT** Since originally generating this review, we have been successfully able to get our system fully operational in time for the cold months. Though communication during the process was difficult due to the inconsistency of who we worked with, I was contacted by an escalation manager to be the point for any issues that arise. Having that single point of contact does help immensely, and the company did send out a specialized technician who was able to resolve all the issues.BLUF: While the technicians from HL Bowman were polite and respectful, our overall experience replacing our furnace and A/C was very difficult and stressful. From the date of sale, to the initial install a week later, it took approximately two months and 7 separate visits to obtain a fully functional system. I do not believe that this is a common occurrence, and I believe they are updating their processes and procedures to ensure it does not happen to anyone else again.Key Note: 24/7 Emergency Service is slightly misleading. The service is seasonal, and is mostly just weekends for any non life-threatening situation. Under most circumstances, assuming someone answers, this service should be everything it needs to be.We called Bowman after our A/C failed and decided to replace both systems, converting from electric to propane. The salesman no-showed the first appointment, and the installation team later realized they had forgotten a required part, leaving the system unfinished. From there, the situation only got worse — leaks, a blown valve, wiring mistakes, missing parts, and repeated delays.Across six separate visits, we experienced multiple late arrivals and one complete no-show, even on a day when their presence was required for the propane hookup. We lost work time, paid for a wasted propane service call, and spent weeks waiting for ordered parts and corrections.Adding to the frustration, two technicians gave conflicting explanations of what system had been installed. One said propane-only, another said dual-fuel. We later learned that we actually received a dual system, not what we were told we purchased.When colder weather arrived, the furnace performed poorly — slow to heat, unable to maintain temperature, and the house cooled rapidly when it shut off. Calling after hours for help was no better: their advertised “24/7 Emergency Service” turned out to be seasonal and only available if a technician is willing to work overtime.The individual techs were great people, but the company’s coordination, communication, and reliability have been challenging for a whileI do not think this is a common issue for people, but it did, unfortunately, happen to us. What started as a quick install turned into a couple months long slog going into freezing temperatures before the system worked correctly.

We didn’t have heat in our house for up to two weeks because my furnace stopped working I tried some one else to look at it but he only told me that it looks fine and to change the The batteries and the thermostat changed the filter and had a 45° pipe outside to the already existing exhaust pipe Tom about the code when it stopped working again and he said he’d order a part and let me know when by that time it’s already been a week and I needed heat so I called HL Bowman. It came out took a look tried everything got it working again but a day later it stopped called them back and let them know. Another person came out. Austin don’t even deeper and found the issue that I needed a new furnace so he contacted Josh who helped us out with pricing getting a plan and they got me a new furnace on Friday from Wednesday and the two technicians Timothy and Greg both came out and set up our new furnace with our new thermostat. Make sure everything worked properly cleaned everything up professionally I had a buddy there cause I wasn’t able to be there and he kept me updated on the progress sent the photo. Everything looked beautifully and when I got home that night it just felt so nice to have heat in the house. I truly appreciate all the work that they did made a fantastic job

Paul came to rescue us on the first hot summer day when my geothermal air conditioning system broke down. It’s his first time coming to our house. He had to walk up and down numerous times between 3 floors to identified the issues and provided solution to us. Ignacio Ruiz was extremely friendly and helpful! I appreciated that Ignacio called and provided an ETA when he was on his way and then I received another call from him upon his arrival. He thoroughly explained what the issues were with both my dryer and upper oven and how H L Bowman would break out the pricing for the servicing of each separately and combined plus H L Bowman's MVP package. Ignacio also provided an estimate on the turnaround time for obtaining the necessary parts. When Ignacia returned with the parts, he quickly got to work and tested each of the appliances and ensured that I was happy with the results. A job well done!

I was delighted with the service that Bruce Fischer from HL Bowman provided on our freezer and refrigerator. We were given clear choices and explanations and Bruce went above and beyond to make our relatively old equipment work like new. He was very pleasant and I would be happy to see him again when we need him.
“I had an absolutely horrible experience with HL. Bowman technician Justin just came to my house looked at my not even two year-old air conditioner. Said it needed a contactor switch told me it was gonna cost $585 to replace the switch. I bought a switch for $35. I installed it myself to find out that Justin‘s diagnostics were wrong. It wasn’t the contactor switch. Do yourself a favor stay away from this company.”

“Seth Morris did a fantastic job sleuthing out the issue that kept shutting down my thermostat. He discovered quickly that the old drainage pipe with a trap, that was in my house originally was completely blocked and was not allowing the moisture condensation from the AC unit to drain properly. He needed to cut the the old pipe open to allow him to clean the trap and then repaired the pipe with new plumbing with a screw on section that could be easily removed for future cleaning. He then showed me how to clean the trap in the new upper part of the AC and suggested I do it once a month when I changed the filter to make sure that this did not occur again. He showed me the little mechanism on the AC unit in my basement that was tripping the thermostat. Very interesting.
He also helped me manage a few extra things I could do on my ecobee smart thermostat to help cool my upstairs earlier in the evening with a separate fan setting.
He was extremely professional, polite, and very, very helpful. I really appreciate his long drive from Harrisburg to fix this problem. It had nothing to do with the Lennox air-conditioning system, but instead an old drainage pipe in my basement that had been installed when the house was built I don’t think it had ever been cleaned out. He fixed everything so that this situation won’t happen again. He is an amazing employee. Give the man a raise. Thank you, Bowman for your excellent service as usual.”
